My January 2021 Favourites!

Well It's finally the end of January- for many the most depressing month in the calendar year! This month has been a bit crazy for those of us that live in the UK as we've gone into yet another lockdown! I don't know about anyone else but this has meant minimal make up for me on most days! However, I still have managed to find a few favourite products this month to share with you...

For me, foundation is one of the most important parts of my make up routine so to call a product my favourite foundation it is a BIG deal but I have no hesitation in calling this Charlotte Tilbury product my new favourite! There are so many great things about this product: the packaging, the coverage, the blend ability but I think the thing that makes it stand out is that it doesn't budge! I will often wear this underneath a mask for hours on end at work and when I take it off there is little to no foundation residue on the mask- something most other products don't have. In addition to this, pretty much every primer, concealer, powder and cream product I have used in conjunction with it works perfectly well- I can't tell you a specific pairing I love to use with it because everything just works well with it! Although it is a little pricey if you are looking for a new everyday full coverage foundation this would be top of my recommendation list.

Setting spray's aren't usually something that I would switch up in my routine, I almost always use Urban Decay All Nighter and do not really deviate. However, I've had this in my collection for a while and this month have found it to be such a good dupe for the Urban Decay product! At only a fraction of the price, the NYX product holds my make up in place all day, feels refreshing and gives a great matte finish! Admittedly, the matte finish may not be to everyones tastes but they also have a dewy finish spray that I have heard equally good things about and you can buy both for the same price as the UD All Nighter. I believe that this product has also helped my make up stay in place under masks and although I've been using it every time I wear make up this month there still seems to be a lot left so a few sprays goes long way! I really believe this should be a staple in everyone's kit because it just works so well for the price.

Herbal Dynamics Rosehip Foaming Cleanser- £16 (Gifted)

To be completely honest before receiving this product I had never tried a foaming cleanser before but ever since I was gifted this item a couple of months ago I just haven't stopped using it and I don't know if I'll be going back to normal cleansers anytime soon! It feels so lightweight on my skin and after use it just leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and thoroughly cleansed. I also love the fact that there is no scent/ fragrance because that is a factor that puts me off other skincare products. The brand itself is also a clean beauty brand which makes me feel a lot more comfortable putting this on my skin everyday. If you haven't tried this yet I'd definitely give it a go!

Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen- £20

I think the name of this product pretty much says it all! I've been using this eyeliner throughout January when I bought it in a gift set along with the mascara (which is a whole other story). Ever since the first use I have loved it! It is so easy to use and gives such good freedom when using it. Unlike other pen liners it's not rigid it feels flexible so you can go as simple or bold with your liner as you wish. It is also pretty waterproof and doesn't smudge easily at all! In addition to this, I have found that it is very black and it hasn't dried out with a few uses. To be completely honest this eyeliner is comparable with my all-time favourite KVD Tattoo Liner which is, in my eyes, very hard to compete with.

I hope you have enjoyed reading through this months favourites! Just a quick note, non of the links are affiliate but are to trusted sites that should have the best price for that product available at the time this was published. It was also not a requirement of the brand to include the gifted item I just really enjoy using it and if you want to see my full review of it head over to my Instagram @makeupmadnessuk 💋
